Melora Walters (born October 21 1968) is an American actress born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Frequently cast by Paul Thomas Anderson, she has appeared most notably in ''Boogie Nights,'' as Jessie St. Vincent; ''Magnolia,'' as Claudia Wilson Gator; and ''The Butterfly Effect,'' as Evan's mother. She has also appeared on such television shows as ''Roseanne,'' ''Seinfeld,'' ''NYPD Blue,'' and ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation|CSI''. Walters is divorced from ''Nip/Tuck'' actor Dylan Walsh. She currently plays the role of Wanda in the HBO drama ''Big Love''.
