Karyn Parsons (born August 9, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actress. Her mother is African American and her father is Caucasian. She is best known for her role as valley girl Hilary Banks on the sitcom ''The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'', which ran from 1990 to 1996.
She was cast to co-star in the sitcom ''Lush Life'' in 1996 but it was cancelled after only one episode.
Parsons has also appeared in such films as ''Major Payne'' and ''The Ladies Man''.
She also appeared in ''The Job'' with Denis Leary.
Currently Karyn is producing a line of DVD cartoons aimed at African-American families called ''Sweet Blackberry''.
