Janice Pennington (born July 8, 1942 in Seattle, Washington) is ''Playboy'' magazine's Playmate of the Month for the May 1971 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Mario Casilli. She also is one of the original "Barker's Beauties" models on ''The Price is Right''. She currently has the longest tenure of any game show model or hostess (1972-2000).
In 1988, Janice was knocked off-stage by a camera during taping and rendered unconscious. She later sued, and in 1992 was awarded $1.3 million.
In 1994, she authored ''Husband, Lover, Spy'', an account of her search for her husband, famed mountain climber Fritz Stammberger, who went missing in 1975 in a restricted area along the borders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Russia. She married writer Carlos de Abreu, who co-authored the book, in 1992. They founded the Hollywood Film Festival in 1997.
She was released from her modeling duties on The Price Is Right in 2000 as the producers wanted to bring younger models onto the show.
