Greta Garbo Undressed

Greta Garbo (September 18, 1905 – April 15, 1990) was a Swedish actress, by reputation one of the greatest and most inscrutable movie stars ever to be produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer|MGM and the Hollywood studio system. In 1954 she received an Honorary Oscar "for her unforgettable screen performances", and she has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was born Greta Lovisa Gustafsson (some sources cite her original surname as Gustafson) ([http://silentladies.com/PGarbo.html]) in Stockholm, Sweden, the youngest of three children born to Karl Alfred Gustafsson (1871 -1920) and Anna Lovisa Johansson (1872 - 1944). Her older sister and brother were Alva and Sven.
